Novella Redux Hooray!

I've sold a second novella this year! "The Price of Justice" will appear in the Distant Realms anthology. I'm not sure when it'll be released, but my guess is early 2011--I know the editor is still working on edits for the companion volume, Distant Lands, which is an anthology of SF novellas.

So I may have only made two sales so far this year, but they add up to 64,000 words sold and that's pretty darn good.

Whoot! It takes about 32 of my short stories to add up to your two novellas, so yay!

Aaron--I don't think I've written 32 short stories in my whole life, even if you throw in "Dr. Dragon" that I wrote when I was seven.

Natalie and Richard--hayull yayuh!

Woot! Soon I'm going to need a special Kate Shaw shelf.

It can be a very short shelf, since apparently I only sell novellas. :)

Well Done,K.C! I hope to have time to finish a series I've been working on for a magazine, but it isn't as long as yours.

How wonderful to have sold them too.

Thanks, and good luck on yours too!

You rock!

Now go out and buy yourself something expensive and unnecessary to celebrate.

I bought myself a cream soda and a new puzzle book, does that count?

Thanks! I'm just glad I have unloaded--er, found homes for two awkward-length stories this year. Now I can concentrate on the novels. :)
