Bits of good

I didn't actually mean to stop posting after my 1,000th post. I've just been busy.

Right before the new year, I saw a tweet from someone who suggested keeping a jar throughout the year where you put slips of paper with notes about good things that happen to you. Then at the end of the year you take the papers out and read them, to remind yourself of small kindnesses and pieces of luck that came your way. I love this idea. It's so easy to forget the good stuff and only remember the bad.

I need to buy a jar, but I already have a few slips ready to put in it. And we're only ten days into the new year.

I almost forgot about it, but something made me remember it yesterday. I want to find a jar that's blue or something pretty like that.

If I tried that I'd do it for about two weeks, then forget all about it.

Then, a year later, curse myself for not finishing what I started.

I think I'd just be lucky to finish the curse :/

Usually I remember I was going to do something like this around about August. And then it's too late to start without feeling silly.

Knowing my luck, I'd lose the jar sometime in December.

Ha! That sounds like something that would happen to me too. I'd spend hours tearing the house apart looking for it, only to discover it the following March in the freezer or on top of the water heater or something.
