A Day to Twitter about

Actually, it's a good thing I didn't have access to Twitter today, because I would have bored everyone silly. After the horribleness and exhaustingness of the last two weeks (work! I work at a college and it's MIDTERMS OMG), I really need something fun to look forward to. And tomorrow is the big huge giant yearly Friends of the Library booksale in Knoxville! Well, the sale's been going on all week but tomorrow is the first half-price day and it's my day off too, so all day at work today I was clockwatching ferociously. My tweets would have been along the lines of "four more hours and I can go home, and then tomorrow I can buy books!" and "three more hours and I'm out of here and this time tomorrow I'll have a lot more books!"

So anyway...15 more hours and I'll be buying books.

I've been terrible about reading my friends' blogs lately and updating my own. That's going to change after tomorrow. Tomorrow, of course, I'll be busy buying lots of books.

I wish you could come too! It's a huge book sale!

Ah, books. No one in my family aside from my mother ever understood how I could lose hours in book stores and at book sales. I hope you score some real gems.

Library book sales inspire me to make weird %&#$ up about libraries. Wish I could be there.

Jameson--I've actually talked my mom into coming with me to the sale! She's only been once before, but that was on a Saturday when it's packed.

Aaron--Well, it doesn't start until eleven, so call in sick (you can get a sub at 8am, right?) and start driving!

Natalie--I saved that word verification just for you. :)

As as you blow a months worth of paychecks buying books you can think 'but it is for a good cause.' At least that would be how I would justify it.

Then you'll be busy reading them. Enjoy. :D

I live for book sales. I especially like the ones that also sell cookies. It's like the best life has to offer at one time.

Also, I nominated you for two awards if you've got nothing to blog about. One is just a picture, but the other is the creative liars game.

Happy Book Buying!

Jamie--Ha! I'm back with a big ole stack of books and only spent $5! So there! :)

Cate--I got some really good ones, too. I can't wait to dive in!

Anne--Mmmmm, cookies AND books, perfect!

And thanks for the nominations!

Yesterday, I bought two books. It wasn't the same as buying from a huge book sale (I used to love the Rosedale Library's annual book sales back in Baltimore), but I'm two books richer. That should count for something! :D

I hope you found lots and lots of great books. :)

Two books is awesome! It's 50% better than one book and 100% better than no books.
