Weredeer, liches, and fairies vs. unicorns. All in a day's work.
LOL ... Do we need to wait until January 1 to start calling you Alexa?Good luck getting those last few hundred words.
I managed to get the last 700 words and then went on a brisk (freezing) walk up and down the street, keeping an eye out for any red X's painted on rocks. Treasure could be anywhere!I can't decide if I want to be called Alexa or be more formal and go by Miss Serpentine. Either one will do, I suppose. :)
Whoot on the NaNo completion!
If only most of what I wrote wasn't crap....
I hear you about the slow going, KC. I'm hitting 43K at the moment and have 2 full days left for the other 7000. Getting to be a chore sqeeking out each batch of 500 words...I like the Alexa Serpentine name for a nom de plume (for you, not me). Mysterious, in a Rombancing the Stone sort of way.
You can be Alexa Serpentine's clever code-breaking sidekick if you like.Good luck on the last few days of NaNo! You can do it!
Just make sure Alexa's middle name doesn't start with an S. You don't want the initials to spell out ASS. ;)Congrats on the Nano win.
Sounds like a plan.Woot on the NaNo win because we all know 700 words is nothing for you.
Jameson--Alexa Stiletto Serpentine, and I'll kick your ASS if you mention my initials again. :)Cate--For some reason those 700 words just did not want to chip free. I got them loose finally though.
Congrats on the NaNo win. That is awesome, but you already knew that. As far as the new name and career- I think I can get behind you on the treasure hunting, the name we will see. :)
I don't even care if I find any treasure. I just want to tromp around with a pickaxe and look interesting.
Those are some cool goals. And a pickaxe is the ultimate fashion accessory.Congrats on NaNo!
Miss Serpentine...I can see you doing a guest spot on Sesame Street with a name like that - and as for weight - what weight? I saw that photo of you. You're a beautiful woman.Good luck with the treasure hunting.
Danielle--Maybe I'll paint the pickaxe bright red. That way it'll go with most of my clothes. :)BT--Thanks, dahlink, although that dress is very flattering. Mostly I just want to get into the cute denim skirt I bought this time last year thinking I would diet into it and didn't. Fortunately, now I can just ask myself "What would Alexa Serpentine eat?" and that'll keep me on track. Of course, I suspect Alexa Serpentine eats things like raw crickets.
Spank those last 700 !
They are well and truly spanked. :)
