Faux me

I read that Harlequin Intrigue today. It wasn't as bad as I expected, although it wasn't very good. Very clunky writing, lots of laughable dialogue and unintentionally hilarious lines. The plot was a surprisingly decent mystery; there was only one sex scene and it was really, really tame (much to my surprise).

Can I write one of these? Oh hell yeah. On my head.

So that's my next project. I need to pick out a pseudonym, which is the funnest part.

Only one sex scene?? : (

Yeah, I couldn't believe it. No throbbing shafts or anything like that, either.

Things only throb in erotica. Romance keeps it pretty PG-13.

Think French for the pseudonym.

I dunno, I've read a small amount of romance and it got pretty throbby in all of them. Bell-Men has steamier scenes than the book I read yesterday.

My mom suggested Cressie Shaw as my pseudonym. I think I like it.

Yeah, I heard that they've got a strict formula they follow. Hmm, pseudonym. Ivana Ryder. Though, Aaron may be onto something with the French idea (guaranteed more says in the Quebec region...)

I'm going to go to the Harlequin website and just read through their list of author names. Should be amusing, if nothing else.
