Oh yeah, I have a blog, don't I? Maybe I should post.
I've been adding to Bell-Men this evening. There's a lot I want to change and add, which is worrisome. NaNo starts next Sunday! I don't even really know what Tiger's going to be about; I had planned to spend the week thinking about it, but Bell-Men won't let me go yet.
I've noticed that the Bell-Men plot is morphing into something more fantasy-ish than I originally had. I try and stay away from the "hero saves the world" fantasy plot, but it's hard to resist. I think "more is at stake than the hero initially realizes" is one of those tropes woven right into the fabric of the genre. Well, you know what I mean.

You'll figure out Tiger in time for Nano. The raw panic tends to get the muse flowing at the last minute ; )
I'd scream 'Put Bell-Men down and let it strew', but we both know I wouldn't be able to do that either. Wishing you lots of Tiger related thoughts this week.
It will be an interesting week. I know how to start my NaNo story and a few scenes, but haven't figured out how to get from A to B to C. And I don't have a first draft nagging at me like you do!
Good luck with that Tiger. You do realize that every time I see that title, I think of "Tyger, tyger, burning bright," don't you?
Not that this really means anything, but I keep thinking it.
We can panic in unison over our NaNo projects.
Funny...I think "Teach Me Tiger" by April Stevens. Yeah, I own a couple of Ultra Lounge albums. Sue me.

Natalie--that's true, although the book may not actually make any sense. :)
Cate--If I can get these addition to Bell-Men written in the next few days (and I should be able to), then I can drop it for Nano. I hope.
Alan--You know about as much about your nano story as I do, alas. Hopefully we can both get the plots straight before next week.
Carrie--Sorry! I have the same problem with Little Sparrow (which I plan to finish after Bell-Men's revised). It's also the title of a very catchy Dolly Parton song, so I always end up with that song in my head when I've been working on Little Sparrow.
Jamie--synchronized panicking! I think that's an Olympic sport now.
Aaron--It's probably a good thing I don't know that song, although I'll check it out after Nano. :)

Cate is right about Bell-Men sometimes it better to leave one writing project and work on another piece. It helps to clear the mind and refresh your thoughts when you do come back to it.

It's funny how a story can go off on a different tangent to when you start it.
Definitely. I just typed up a few thousand new words that moves the story in a very different direction. I think it's going to work, but it's not really what I wanted when I started the thing.
