Pix of my new badge (with bonus Jekyll)

I almost forgot I wanted to post a picture of my awesome new Mister Ghost badge that I got from Evil Supply Company. That's why I am wearing my nightgown in the photo; I was too lazy to put a real shirt back on. I wanted to show Jekyll investigating the badge, but he was much more interested in the camera, which is odd because he'd never seen the badge before and I follow him around with the camera like his own personal paparazzi.

Here's the badge a little clearer, but I didn't want to just post this pic because it's mostly of my cleavage. Ooh la la.

I've also ordered some stationery (the Boneyard design), because I could not stop myself.

I followed @EvilSupplyCo on Twitter when I saw a post someone had retweeted. I had to follow them because I have a book called Evil Outfitters, of course, and then I found out they are a real company and I about died of awesome.

This seems like a propitious time to remind everyone that there are only three days left to enter my Goodreads giveaway for a copy of Evil Outfitters, Ltd. AND a copy of the original edition of Jack of All Trades, its companion volume. Jack of All Trades has been reissued by Double Dragon, and I got an email this morning letting me know that it's available now as a print book for anyone who wants the new edition (which includes the short story "The Neverstone").

Don't forget to enter!

Just a quick reminder that my Goodreads giveaway for a print copy of Evil Outfitters, Ltd. ends tonight. (Actually, I think it ends at like three in the morning or something, but you definitely should enter now.)

I am almost done with the bathroom painting. It looks fabulous! I even have the new light fixture in there, courtesy of my aunt and uncle who came over Sunday. But I'm not happy with the shade of white I used to paint the wainscotting, so I'm going to repaint with a warmer shade on Thursday. Then I'll post lots of pictures!

I'm also writing--not Wharf Rat, although that's next, but Adventures of Zoology. BY GUM I WILL FINISH IT THIS TIME.

Bookmarks! Free bookmarks!

Okay, my last post was grouchy and ill-mannered. "Goldie" is worth three bucks. Also, YOU CAN HAS A FREE BOOKMARK!

My shipment of bookmarks just arrived, and they are awesome. Seriously, these are some nice bookmarks. If you'd like one, just email me your mailing address at kcshaw123 at gmail dot com.

A big shout-out to Overnight Prints, who did a great job and who actually called me to tell me some of my text was bleeding off the edge (because I'm terrible with photoshop), and who managed to nudge the text over to fix it so that it's not actually cut off. Above and beyond the call of duty, especially since I got their cheap bookmarks. I will definitely order from them again.

Congratulations to Alan Davidson, who won the Leather, Denim & Silver anthology and the little devil stamp! Thanks to everyone who entered!

And thank goodness Blogger finally came back up today. I was in withdrawal.

You can still enter!

Don't forget you can still enter the contest! I won't be picking a winner until I get home this evening. Just email your name to kcshaw [at] gmail [dot] com if you haven't already. Details here.

Contest! Devil-hunters in ink and an inky devil!

I've been meaning to post all week and haven't had time to do it justice. But here it is! It's a contest for a copy of Pill Hill Press's Leather, Denim & Silver: Legends of the Monster Hunter anthology. If you win, you also get this awesome little rubber stamp that I had made specially years ago, of the Underwood Deviled Ham devil logo*. One-of-a-kind! (Well, actually, the lady who made it for me liked it so much she made herself one, so it's two-of-a-kind. But that was like ten years ago and I bet she's lost hers.)

To Enter: Email me your name at kcshaw123 [at] gmail [dotcom] and I'll put an entry in the hat for you. One entry per person. The contest runs all week. I'll draw a name on Friday, May 13, because giving away a devil stamp and a copy of a monster hunter antho is an appropriate action for Friday the 13th.

I've been reading the anthology and it's awesome--excellent stories full of mayhem, blood, guts, horror both gooey and psychological, steampunk battles, hard choices, things with tentacles and fangs, and one fine story by me. There are thirty stories in the anthology, which as you can see from the picture is enormous. Definitely a coffee-table book. :)

[While I've got you all here, I can't stop myself from mentioning that I'm running a sale at my etsy shop. Enter MAYFLOWERS when you check out and you get 25% off your order!]

*Please Mr. Underwood Deviled Ham Company, do not sue me. I quite like your deviled ham and eat it all the time.

Drumroll please...

I just had my mom draw names out of a hat (okay, a green cereal bowl) to see who wins a signed copy of Jack of All Trades and who gets homemade bookmarks and stickers. I was only going to give away one copy of the book, but I decided to do two and then have three bookmark-and-sticker winners.

So here are the winners:
Signed book: Ibid
Signed book: barbarakelley
bookmarks and stickers: Cate Gardner
bookmarks and stickers: ikkinlala
bookmarks and stickers: Jamie Eyberg

A big round of applause for the winnahs! I've emailed or messaged all the winners except for Ibid--Ibid, drop me an email at kcshaw123 [at] gmail.com with your mailing address so I can send your book out to you Monday!
