Happy Thanksgiving!

My mom has her first published short story up at Every Day Fiction, "Turkey Shoot." She's very excited about it, and I think it's an awesome little story.

I stayed up until 1 am this morning to finish the (very) rough draft of my untitled romance novel. I still need to go back in and add about 10,000 words, but that shouldn't be too hard. I'm still not done with NaNoWriMo yet, though. Next project is work on Christopher Kaplan. Starting tomorrow.

Today I have a feast to eat! Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the U.S.! For everyone else, Happy Thursday.

You can always add more angst. There's no such thing as "too much" angst in a romance novel.

Angst and naval gazing. It needs more of both. Oh, and bonking.

"Turkey Shoot" pulled me in right from the start. Great, minimalist voice.

I hope Thanksgiving was happy for all.

Hey, take a day off and stuff yourself with some turkey. Get it...stuff yourself...

Aaron--Thanks, I'll pass that along to Mom.

Alan--I am as stuffed as any turkey, that's for sure. :)

That's your mom's first story? I dig the ending.

Congrats on the rough draft . . . 10,000 more words? How about a couple of pages of self-doubt overcome by passionate kisses within the green glow of colored light bulb?

Congrats to your mom.

Chadwicked--Yeah, Mom's a good writer but getting her to actually produce a finished story is like pulling teeth. She's got another one I'm pestering her to edit.

Cate--Thanks!
