Well, okay, it doesn't look like I'm going to read three books by the end of the year. It also doesn't look like I'm going to write that elusive sixth short story for the year. And while I'm still hoping to get the Bell-Men rewrites done before the end of tomorrow, it's certainly not done yet despite my best efforts last night and this afternoon. Dammit.
On the other hand, I did do laundry today and cleaned out my closet, which was sort of full of shoes and clothes I haven't worn in a year or more.

You sound like you are really hard on yourself. Tough goals are set and must be met, and all of that...
Relax, domestic chores are important too. Groceries, laundry, bathing...all important.
I'm mostly annoyed that this week I've done very little and I had so much planned, and now my vacation is almost over. Oh well, I've seen a lot of good movies. And the laundry's done.
OMG! You just reminded me that I have laundry sitting in the washing machine that needs to be moved over! O_O
I don't think I'll even finish reading The Graveyard Book by the end of the year. I'm about halfway through, but I've been spending more time on my own writing than on anyone else's! :P
I still haven't picked up a copy of the Graveyard Book. I finally got Pratchett's Nation for Christmas but I haven't even opened it yet.
How busy are you,K.C? To me it sound as though you are very busy...LOL
I'm busy doing nothing. :)
This always happens during vacation. I planned on finishing rewrites of Loathsome...and I'm not even to page 100.
Onward though...onward.
There's always tomorrow! (And the day after, and the day after...)
Forget what you haven't done. It's almost a new year -- and besides, you can't do anything without cleans socks.
That's true, and I just visited with a friend I hadn't seen in years, which puts things in perspective. Life's too short to dwell on the past (except for the good things, of course).
