Five thousand words and more!

I wrote 3,300 words yesterday--all longhand, and I just got it typed up this evening. I wrote more longhand today but I don't know how much until I type it up.

So I'm probably 7,500 words in by now and the book is shaping up quite well. It helps that it's going to be short. A 57,000 word fantasy would be considered a long novella, but it's my target length for this book. Yay for short books!

Tomorrow would be a day off work for me, but I said I'd go in to give a test in the afternoon. Even so, I'm sure I can get at least 2,000 words written tomorrow.

Your productivity - year round - astounds me!

If I divorce my wife and sell the kids, can I move in with you?

Your ability to write so much longhand fascinates me : )

I used to write a lot in longhand but I've gradually moved straight to the computer. Except for ideas of course, they're mostly written into notebooks.

You are rocking the casbah. Which I think means that you're fast and I'm envious.

BT--Only if you promise to fix the gazebo, that got destroyed under the weight of snow.

Natalie--I had to stop Tuesday night because my hand was hurting. (That phrase could be taken really wrong, huh?)

Danielle--I mostly write longhand when I want to write but I can't get at a computer. I carry my notebook around like a talisman. :)

Jeremy--Thanks!

Carrie--Well, the proof's in the pudding. Meaning, if I write this and can't even sell it to Harlequin... Well, let's just say I'm gonna need a lot of chocolate. A lot.

So folks like their romances quick and dirty? (I had to...)

Way to go! My hand would be in a permanent cramp trying to go longhand.

Aaron--Oh, honey, you know it. :p

Jamie--My hand was cramping Tuesday night, but fortunately it was okay by morning.

Way to go on the word count! :D I've been doing a little pen and paper writing myself lately. Sometimes it helps kick the muse into gear. :)
